DRINK HIsTORY

While not an exact replication, our initial drink formula has origins form a century ago. Maltos-Cannabis was a Swedish hemp seed-based malt beverage “food remedy” produced between 1892 and 1912. The product contained malt and hemp seed fatty extract.

This unique beverage was widely available in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, and was even advertised in American publications. Maltos-Cannabis was marketed as a nutrient and sedative, and was believed to have health benefits.
